Product Overview
The CAMTOP Grease Injection Head is an essential component of wireline pressure control equipment. It is a sealing device designed for braided cable wireline operations, performing a dynamic wireline sealing function on braided cable.
Positioned at the uppermost point of the pressure control equipment string, the grease injection head comprises two major sub-assemblies: the stuffing box (pack-off) and the flow tube assembly. The flow tubes are close-tolerance fittings around the wireline; together with the flow tube sleeves, they form the main length of the grease injection control head. This length provides sufficient column height to form an effective grease seal during service.
In operation, the grease injection head is assembled around the wireline before it is attached to the rope socket. Grease is injected into the annulus between the flow tubes and the wireline, creating a high-pressure barrier that prevents well fluids from escaping while allowing smooth wireline movement.

Working Principle
The grease injection head creates a pressure barrier by injecting high-pressure grease into the sealed annulus formed between the flow tubes and the wireline. As the wireline passes through the flow tube assembly, the grease column prevents wellbore fluids from traveling upward while lubricating and sealing around the moving cable.
The pack-off or stuffing box at the top of the head completes the seal at the upper end, allowing the wireline to be run in and out of the well under pressure. This arrangement makes the grease injection head indispensable for live-well wireline operations such as logging, perforating, and intervention.
