Product Overview
CAMTOO manufactures both Positive (fixed) and Adjustable Choke Valves rated for working pressures up to 15,000 psi WP, available with various end connection configurations. The H2 Type Adjustable Choke Valve is specifically designed for variable flow control applications.
The adjustable choke features an external control indicator that displays orifice size in 1/64-inch increments, allowing operators to precisely set and monitor flow rates. By rotating the hand wheel, the choke orifice size is varied to achieve the desired downstream flow, providing responsive and accurate well control.
This choke valve is widely used in choke and kill manifolds, production test headers, and wellhead flow control systems where precise pressure and flow rate management is critical.

Working Principle
The CAMTOP H2 Type Adjustable Choke Valve operates on a variable orifice principle. A tapered needle (stem tip) is precisely positioned against a seat ring to create an adjustable annular flow passage. By rotating the hand wheel, the operator varies the gap between the needle and seat, thereby controlling the effective flow area and downstream pressure drop.
The external indicator mechanically translates stem position into a calibrated display showing the equivalent orifice diameter in 1/64-inch increments. This provides the operator with a reliable visual reference for repeatable flow settings.

Operating Instructions
Flow Adjustment: Rotate the hand wheel clockwise (CW) to reduce orifice size and decrease flow rate. Rotate counterclockwise (CCW) to increase orifice size and flow rate. The external indicator displays the current setting in 1/64-inch increments. Always rotate the hand wheel smoothly; avoid rapid operation that may cause sudden pressure changes downstream.
Full Open Position: Rotate CCW until the indicator shows the maximum orifice setting. This position provides maximum flow area for well clean-up operations or when minimal flow restriction is desired.
Full Close: For positive shut-off applications, rotate CW until the needle seats firmly. A separate gate valve or block valve should be installed upstream or downstream for reliable isolation — the choke is NOT designed as a primary shut-off device.
