Product Overview
The CAMTOP RD Rupture Disc Circulating Valve is the same as the RD Safety Circulating Valve except it lacks the ball valve section. The annulus pressure causes the rupture disc to burst, and the pressure enters the rupture disc hole to push the circulating mandrel forward, opening the circulating ports.
The valve is composed of two major sections:
1. The power section consists of a power mandrel case and a rupture disc available for a wide range of pressure applications. The rupture disc bursts at a predetermined pressure, allowing annulus pressure to be applied to a differential area on the power mandrel. The power mandrel moves down, opening a set of circulating ports.
2. The circulating section consists of a set of ports initially sealed by the power mandrel. When the rupture disc bursts and the mandrel moves down, the ports are exposed, allowing communication between the annulus and the work string.
