The Sucker Rod BOP (blowout preventer) is a compact wellhead safety device designed for rod-pumped oil and gas wells. Installed below the stuffing box on the wellhead, it packs off the annular space around the sucker rod string to shut in the well in emergency situations — protecting personnel and equipment against unexpected pressure surges and blowouts during workover and production operations.
Available in multiple top sizes and bottom joint thread connections, the Sucker Rod BOP is a necessary matching tool for sucker rod pumping systems in oil fields.
