Working Principle
The CAMTOP gas charging valve uses a poppet-style check mechanism: the stainless steel valve core (item 1) is spring-loaded against a precision-machined seat. During factory or field pre-charging, a gas charging kit is connected to the valve cap; opening the cap lifts the poppet and allows nitrogen to flow into the gas side of the bladder accumulator. Once the desired pre-charge pressure is reached, the cap is closed and the poppet seats, providing a leak-tight seal.
During operation, the gas side of the accumulator maintains its pre-charge pressure indefinitely; the valve only opens when an external charging kit is attached. The O-ring seal at the mounting interface ensures no leakage of hydraulic fluid past the valve threads into the gas port.
