Working Principle
The CAMTOP TPD600 Triplex Pump is a horizontally-mounted, single-acting, three-plunger (triplex) positive displacement pump. A prime mover (diesel engine or electric motor) drives the input shaft through a 4.6:1 reduction gearbox, which rotates the forged crankshaft. Three connecting rods convert the rotational motion into reciprocating motion of three plungers housed in the fluid end.
On each suction stroke, the suction valves open to admit well-service fluid into the fluid-end cylinders. On each discharge stroke, the discharge valves close and the plungers force the fluid at high pressure through the discharge manifold. With three plungers operating 120° out of phase, the TPD600 produces nearly continuous flow with minimal pulsation — ideal for cementing, acidizing, and fracturing operations.
