Product Overview
CAMTOP Float Valve Sub is an important tool in petroleum exploration and drilling engineering. It is connected at the upper part of the drill bit, and the float valve assembly inside the sub is located near the bit connecting thread. The float valve sub can also be positioned at any necessary point of the drill string to provide reliable one-way flow control and blowout protection.
When connected with a single piece pipe, the CAMTOP Float Valve Sub prevents mud from coming back into the drill string, stops mud from returning upward and blocking the hole, and avoids blowout in the drill string. When a blowout takes place, the nozzle is closed automatically by the valve cap of the float valve assembly, ensuring safe and controlled drilling operations.
Two valve types are available: Model F (spring plunger type) and Model G (flapper type). Both are designed for high-pressure, high-reliability service and are interchangeable with standard drill string connections.
