Product Overview
CAMTOP Casing Scraper is designed for the effective removal of dirt and deposits from the inside walls of casing. It removes solid cement, hard wax, various salt crystals or deposits, perforation burrs, and iron oxide residues caused by rusting, ensuring that all downhole tools can pass through the casing unblocked.
This tool is especially essential when a small circular clearance exists between the downhole tools and the casing inside diameter. Complete scraping of the internal casing wall is a necessary step before further wellbore operations in large petroleum wells.
Working Principle
Before running into the downhole, the maximum installation size of the blade is larger than the casing inside diameter. After running into the downhole, the blade is pressed against the casing wall by the spring, providing the radial force required for scraping.
When hard materials need to be scraped, several passes may be required before the blade reaches the casing inside diameter. The scraper is connected to the lower end of the drill string, and the up-and-down movement of the drill string creates axial feeding for the scraping operation.
Each spiral blade has two internal and external curved scraping edges. When the blade works in reciprocating motion, the internal edge and external edge work in turn, with a wider transverse edge band between the two scraping edges, producing cutting and milling action on the cut surface. The scraper blades are uniformly distributed so that the returned mud can carry the scraped substances away.
